Twitter is quite a trend setter too with their hash tags which is being use even in facebook now. However facebook is far more personal and perfect for socializing so it will be my best bet. Twitter seems a bit of in terms of friendship and being personal, so there.

I think that Twitter has a broader reach in terms of "anonymity". Many people on Facebook don't want to be "friends" with or "subscribe" to just any product or page because it floods their own newsfeeds and personal life. Twitter, on the other hand, is more free or more public. People are more willing to follow things on Twitter it seems.
