SMS Marketing

I've been trying to figure out if SMS marketing is a good option.

Has anyone tried this method? What was your experience like and would you recommend?

My thoughts will be, if you have not tried email marketing nor personal marketing then don't pursue on SMS marketing. How will you assume someone will think if out of nowhere they will receive a text promoting some product they are not even aware of. I am not saying that this doesn't work. It is, but for some reason not for every aspect of business. It works for offline for digital ones because it simply screams spammy.

I agree with what was said above. You need to create awareness of your product BEFORE you go into SMS marketing or your time and money will just go down the drain. That being said, if you feel that your product does have market relevance and people are aware of it, you can send out a few messages, maybe one message a week as a start and maybe put a link that those with smartphones can click on and use to visit your website.

There are systems that will help you send an SMS to every phone within a certain radius. Employ these so you reach the maximum number of people.

SMS marketing does work. I have received many SMS messages with different sales opportunities. It does seem to work. I do not do SMS marketing as of yet. I have looked into it, but at this time I have all of my time elsewhere. Mainly social media marketing. I do know a few people who do use this form of marketing with a lot of success. My advice would be to pursue it if you have the time needed to put into it. If you don't, you should wait until you do. You never want to do something halfway. Good luck.

I've never tried SMS Marketing so I don't know if it is good or not but I prefer a e-mial marketing it is obvious solutions but why not try something new.
If you will have some resluts please share maybe it is worth taking action in this field.

According to me, SMS marketing is a great idea. Whenever a new product is launch then you can inform your customers via SMS. You can also use "on hold messaging system". In this, if large number of customers are calling you then a recorded message can be played. :rolleyes:

I think it's highly risky and may be easily taken as spam and discarded.
