What is Reciprocal Link and please mention its uses?

Reciprocal link means exchanging links from each other sites. By keep this website link on your website and the other person keep your website link on this site is called reciprocal. I think this is not considered by search engine like Google now a days. Because it is against Google penguin update.

It's a link back to sites that have your links. It can also be called link exchange.

Links between two websites with mutual consent is reciprocal links.

Its like, A is linking to B and in return Bis linking back to A.

Reciprocal links can be little cumbersome, first you have to find relevant websites with which you wan to get linked. then you need to contact the webmaster to tell him that you are actually interested in link exchange.

Do NOT expect wonders out of reciprocal linking. The websites who matter... do NOT exchange links. Use other methods like guest blogging or blog commenting to get backlinks instead..

Reciprocal links building is a two way linking technique in which two websites give back links to each other. Means when one site gets a link to the other then the other site will also give back links to that site.

Reciprocal Links are also called Two way links in which two webmaster post each other link to their site.
Reciprocal Directory Submission is the best example of it.
